Small Business Resources
Lately it seems the Internet has been whirring quite a bit faster than it was even, say, a couple of years ago. There are so many new sites and services to keep track of that it’s easy to get overwhelmed. This is especially true if you’re a small business owner because hey, you’ve got a business to run!
We’ve started this Resources section with the hope that we can help you keep on top of what’s happening in tech world as it relates to small business. There’s a lot of great, useful stuff out there but sometimes it’s too time-consuming or hard to find.
Blue Paper Library
We’ll also be adding “Blue Papers” to the Resources section, which are printable reports with an in-depth look at a topic of interest to small business owners. Kind of like white papers but, you know, blue. Have a look, print ’em out, and feel free to share. We really want these to be useful, so please tell us what you think at info@batchblue.com.
- Managing Your Contacts: The Business of Personal Relationships
- Every small business has some system for organizing and documenting its relationships. If that system is no longer working, or could be improved upon, a new contact management system is in order. This Blue Paper will help small business owners research, select and implement the system that will work effectively for them.
- Social Marketing Tools for the Real Estate Industry
- In our Blue Papers on Social Media and Virtual Offices, we describe some of the newer technology tools available to small business owners. But real estate is different from other businesses. You have different reasons, specific to your industry, to use these tools. This Blue Paper outlines some of the tools and services created with the real estate industry in mind, and how you can best use them to help grow and promote your business.
- Social Media for Small Business
- Even though you may not be familiar with the term “social media”, chances are you’ve heard about it or maybe even are using it to communicate in your personal life. But is social media successfully making the crossover from personal pastime to business tool? This blue paper outlines the different types of tools in the social media toolkit and proposes ways they can be used to promote your brand, communicate with your customers and help grow your business.
- Keeping a Virtual Office on Task
- Running a virtual office can provide a highly flexible, inexpensive and productive environment for a small business. But managing remote staff and resources can be difficult. This blue paper outlines the challenges that a virtual office faces from purchasing and maintaining equipment to communicating and motivating secluded staff. And it provides insight on how we at BatchBlue Software are using new technologies and methodologies to stay on task.
