BatchBlue Software Introduces Web Forms to Streamline Process of Gathering Contact, Social Media and Other Custom Information

Summer Vacation Contest Illustrates Diverse Uses of Batchbook Web Forms

Providence, RI August 31, 2009 — BatchBlue Software (www.BatchBlue.com), provider of the Batchbook social customer relationship manager (CRM) for small businesses and entrepreneurs, today announced the launch of Batchbook Web Forms, a new feature that enables small businesses and entrepreneurs to engage with customers, sales prospects and their social network in a variety of customizable ways. The ability to create Web Forms is immediately available to all Batchbook users.

More advanced than basic data-gathering, Web Forms facilitate the process of adding new contacts to a custom list with the flexibility of Batchbook’s unique SuperTags function, which instantly provides custom data for richer insight for reports and search criteria. By utilizing fields from the Social Media SuperTag, Web Forms can automatically pull contacts’ blogs, Twitter feeds, Flickr photos and other social media activity directly into Batchbook.

Batchbook’s Web Forms can be modified in a variety of creative ways. Some examples include:

  • Add a contact form to a web site to record visitor information directly into a Batchbook account for follow-up by a sales or marketing team.
  • Categorize sales prospects by adding custom SuperTag fields to identify what products they are interested in, their budget or purchase deadline.
  • Survey existing customers by inviting them to respond with what new features they hope to see developed, their satisfaction level with their service or other pertinent information.
  • Manage newsletter sign-ups and connect with MailChimp for distribution to your company’s fans and followers.

“Adding a Web Form function to Batchbook was perhaps one of the most-requested features for our product since we launched. We were eager to work with our customers to develop a feature that could directly help their businesses run more smoothly,” said BatchBlue President Pamela O’Hara. “Batchbook’s Web Forms offer small businesses, entrepreneurs and virtual office workers a way to find huge time savings in terms of collecting information from their customers, colleagues and partners, and the forms provide even more insight into these groups, which supports the underlying mission of Batchbook.”

“With Batchbook Web Forms I am able to integrate my online marketing activities with my back office tools, which makes me more efficient and more successful,” said Stewart Marshall, ACMA, CMA and founder of Financial Storyteller. “The success of my business is about managing my network and maintaining a continuous awareness of the details. Batchbook helps me maintain my professional image while keeping me up-to-date on my business.”

Summer Contest

Coinciding with today’s launch, BatchBlue Software also kicked off its How I Spent My Summer Vacation contest to illustrate some of the applications of Web Forms. All are invited to answer some of the fun, summer-specific questions in the online form (such as choosing the “tastiest summertime beverage”). One lucky, randomly chosen winner will win a Summer Prize Package to keep the summer going a little longer: an Indo Balance Surf Board, a set of custom business cards from MOO cards and a free year of BatchBook.
