BatchBlue Software Calling All Small Business Super Heroes for Second Annual Contest
Winners to Be Honored for Standing Up for Forces of Good (Business)
Providence, RI May 11, 2009 — BatchBlue Software (www.BatchBlue.com), provider of the Batchbook social customer relationship manager (CRM) for small businesses and entrepreneurs, today sent out the call for all small business champions, and their fans, to share their stories and highlight their triumphs in the Small Business Super Heroes contest. In honor of National Small Business Week, May 18–22, 2009, BatchBlue is hosting this second annual contest to celebrate the companies that are standing up for the forces of good business.
The contest application asks for 200-word-or-less descriptions of how businesses reign triumphant in whatever it is they are doing. Designing socially responsible software? Battling the evil forces of a down economy? Doing all this and more while wrangling kids? BatchBlue wants to hear the stories from the frontlines of these brave businesses.
“Entrepreneurs and small businesses are often so busy working on their big idea that they fly under the radar. The Super Heroes contest is designed to recognize their passion, drive and moxie,” said BatchBlue President Pamela O’Hara. “We see stories of exceptional bravery and innovation each week in our SBBuzz Twitter chats, and know that we are witnessing the front lines of a new economy. BatchBlue wants to use our super powers to honor these heroic businesses and help them succeed.”
First-, second- and third-place prizes with be awarded. Prizes include a JetBlue gift card, free Batchbook accounts, Moo business cards, a library of small business-related books — including “World Wide Rave” by David Meerman Scott, “Duct Tape Marketing” by John Jantsch and “Escape from Cubicle Nation” by Pam Slim, Super Hero loot, T-shirts and custom badges for the winners’ Web sites. Sidekick prizes will also be given to those who nominate winners.
The contest runs from May 11 – 22. Winners will be announced on the BatchBlue blog at http://blog.batchblue.com/.
