Batchbook for Real Estate Helps Agents Manage their Social Marketing Network
September 22, 2008—Using social marketing tools, real estate agents are discovering new ways to open virtual doors. Industry-specific social networks, blogs, video and photo-sharing sites and other online resources are providing opportunities for agents to find and communicate with clients and colleagues. To help manage these new, fast-growing networks, BatchBlue Software is launching Batchbook for Real Estate at the Massachusetts Association of Realtors 2008 MAR Conference & Tradeshow in Worchester, MA.
Batchbook for Real Estate provides the same customizable CRM (customer relationship management) tools found in Batchbook. The real estate version also allows agents to track conversations they’re having with clients, see which contacts are leading to new business, and continue to monitor traditional communications such as newsletters and mailings.
Agents can also use the “SuperTag” fields to collect information that's unique to their sales and management strategies. For example, frequent Twitter (a popular micro-blogging site) users can remember why they are connected to new virtual “friends”. Bloggers can track how frequently past clients comment on their site. Whether a conversation happens via email, on a social network, or by phone, agents can keep up with who said what and where.
“The real estate industry is evolving,” explains BatchBlue President Pamela O’Hara. “Agents are finding innovative ways to meet new clients and work with the old. We built Batchbook to be a flexible enough to follow a conversation wherever it goes. Working with agents, who rely on word of mouth to build business, is a natural fit.”
A “Real Estate Trends” article on Wikipedia reports that the number one trend in real estate is the growth of Social Media and Virtual Communities. To succeed in online and social marketing, agents must both understand how to use the new media and have organizational tools flexible enough to evolve with their marketing and communications. To help, BatchBlue has published a blue paper on Social Marketing Tools for the Real Estate Industry, a resource for understanding how real estate agents are using social media. Together with Batchbook for Realtors, this paper offers real estate professionals a head start in their new marketing efforts.
